Cute Photo Scrapbook

This cute scrapbook inspired me by an end credit of a french movie "Amelie" In this tutorial will show you how to create a cute photo scrapbook and I also made it as a web layout. You can make it as a web layout, e-card or an image gallery.

 

 

 


- Create a new canvas 640*480 pixel.
- Fill black color into background using paint bucket tool.
- Create a new layer.
- Select Rectangular Marquee Tool, then darw a selection 480*400 pixel (see an image above).

 

 

 

Fill pattern
- Go to Edit > Fill, now you will see this dialog box.
- At Custom Pattern, click on drop down icon you'll see a set of thumbnail of pattern.
- Click on a small triangle icon, select 'Artist Surface', then select pattern as shown in an image.
- Deselect by press CTRL+D.

Now you have a rectangle 480*400 pixel with pattern
- Go to Images > Adjustments > Level (CTRL+L)
- Make your pattern a little bit darker by draging a small triangle icon.
- Create a new layer.
- Click on your pattern layer, then press CTRL+ click to call a 480*400 selectlion.
- Click on a new layer that you created, fill color #725007 and decrease opacity to 70% or until it looks great.

- Create a new layer for the left side of scrapbook.
- Create a new rectangle 152*400 pixel.
- Repeat step 3, then you will get a result like an image above.

 

 

 

Create the holes
- Create a new layer.
- Draw a 13*13 pixel circle using elliptical marquee tool and fill it with black.
- Duplicate layer and put these 2 black circle between black line.

Create the rings
- Create a new layer.
- Draw an oval selection across 2 blck circle.
- Go to Edit > Stroke, widht = 3, color = black, location = center.
- Right click on the ring layer, select Blending option.
- At Blennding option window, select Bevel and Emboss, size = 5 (leave other setting as default), select Color Overlay, blend mode = normal, color = #8e8a8a, opacity = 100%.

You have created the ring, go to next step.
- Delete half of the circle and move it to a good position.
- Duplicate all layer in this step, put the ring form the top to the bottom of black line.

 

 

 

- You have finished your book, try to add your image or web navigation.

 

 

 

- You can make it as a web layout, e-card or an image gallery.
